Pink & Grey Regina Wedding by En Vogue Photography
Today I’m sharing a wedding in Saskatchewan that is nothing short of pretty, with an absolutely beautiful wedding gown. Captured by En Vogue Photography , Khristine and Mike chose a colour palette of blush pink & grey (one of my favourites!). The two met in pharmacy school and recently opened a pharmacy together.
How did you two meet?
Mike and I met in Toronto at a pharmacy student conference. We both went to school at the University of Saskatchewan, he was in his 2nd year and I was in my 1st year of pharmacy school. I hadn’t met him at school in Saskatoon, but on the first evening gala in Toronto, we ended up sitting at the same table… long story short, now he’s my husband and we just opened up our own pharmacy together.
Any memorable moments from your wedding day?
Every moment during our wedding day was incredible. One that stands out in my mind was when the door opened for me and my parents to walk down the isle… seeing the church fully packed with all our family and friends and then walking toward the love of my life …It felt like a dream. I will also never forget the moment when we exchanged our vows that we wrote together; each word said was so meaningful to us, and so many incredible emotions were rushing through me.
What was your inspiration behind your overall wedding decor and color choices?
Coming from a Filipino background, I have only ever attended extremely large weddings surrounded with tons of family and friends. I wanted exactly that, a huge wedding, but with a modern and elegant feel, that’s how I decided on our venue and centerpieces. My favorite color is blush pink and Mike really liked the thought of grey suits, and luckily they worked together perfectly.
Do you have any advice for other brides/grooms-to-be?
Don’t be afraid to delegate and ask for help from family and friends. Mike and I were extremely busy throughout the whole planning process. I was finishing up my last year of pharmacy school and Mike was working on opening up our new business, Target Pharmacy, that same summer! Needless to say, we had a lot of work to do right up to the wedding day and it was very stressful. Ask family to run small errands for you, in the long run it works out to be so much help! We are very lucky to have such helpful friends and family and the day would not have been perfect as it was without their help.
Stay organized and keep a timeline of things to do, you never want to get too ahead of yourself. I used the iphone app “the knot” Wedding Planner, and I found it extremely handy to keep me on track. Take a break from all the planning and have a date night (or a couple date nights!). Don’t forget that you’re about to marry the love of your life, so take that time and embrace being engaged. One date night can have so much effect on lessening the stress of all the planning.
Lastly, enjoy your wedding day. Don’t get caught up in details or what you have to do next. Just enjoy every moment, every hug, every speech, every dance, every kiss, everything.
