Here’s a great resource for those brides that want the re-touching of their wedding photography. Hey, if celebrities can get their photos re-touched, why can’t we?
I was contacted by Rosie from Let Me Grow Studio who specializes in wedding photography post-production services for budget conscious couples.
Says Rosie: “Always, my first suggestion is to hire one of the very talented wedding photographers we have in the market these days. Pros know what they are doing and then some, but…While the economy isn’t the greatest I understand many couples are putting this artistic task into the hands of friends and family to save some $$$… nothing wrong with that. That’s why I started providing photography wedding post-production services to on-a-budget couples who need to spice their photos up.”
Rosie will perfect your photos with balancing exposure, contrast, color and even cropping and artistic editing.

Everybody’s got a sweet tooth ! I loved the wedding of Jonathan & Grace who created a candy bar for their guests at the end of the wedding. Everything was chosen to match the original pink and chocolate theme. Guests were provided with mini chocolate colored take out boxes, labeled with a card stating “Sweets from the Sweethearts.”
This is a relatively inexpensive way to treat your guests. The take out boxes can be purchased at any crafts store and the mini labled cards can be created by yourself. All you need is a little imagination!

Golf fanatics will get a kick out of these cute golf clubs which are actually silver-plated sitrrers for your guests’ drinks. This would be a perfect item for a golf-themed wedding or for your groomsmen.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
Our regular guest blogger, The Ring Bearer , will continue to join us twice a month, but will be posting specifically for the men for the next 2 months. So men, take note, or ladies, make sure you show this to your soon-to-be husbands! Today they’ll be sharing ten tips for guys on how to be a dreamy groom.
1. Send over a present on the day of the wedding. Make it personal, such as a love letter telling her you can’t wait to see her today.
2. Send flowers to her work to remind her of why you’re marrying her.
3. To relive her of the stress, plan a date night a couple weeks before the wedding. On the date, make it a rule that there’s absolutely no discussion about the wedding. It’s just about the two of you.
4. Engrave your wedding bands with a personal message that’s just between the two of you.
5. Plan a surprise excursion on your honeymoon, such as swimming with dolphins or scuba diving lessons.
6. Make sure you clean up for the big day – shave, get a manicure, eyebrows plucked, etc.
7. Send her a text the morning of the wedding and tell her how much you love her and how much you can’t wait to start your lives together.
8. Plan a couples massage a couple weeks before the wedding so she can de-stress.
9. Compliment the mother-of-the-bride on how beautiful she looks.
10. Don’t forget to plan regular date nights once you’re married!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! You’ll be happy to hear that I’ve got plenty of new images of me creating my ‘save the date’ cards, which will be posted early next week. Hopefully some of you will get some inspiration to create your own!
In the meantime, I’d like to show you some of the items on my wishlist from some of my favorite stores. I often get asked by friends and strangers about where I like to shop, so I thought this would be a fun way for you to get a glimpse into my life. While some items are wedding related (this is a wedding blog afterall), most are everyday items. As per usual, I spent hours browsing online for the greatest finds, so I hope you love them as much as I do.
I must say that I am in love with the following two palettes, which I routinely turn to when deciding what to wear or purchase. The color gray grounds an outfit while the white and pink/teal act as a nice complement. Anyone can tell that I LOVE the color gray. It’s softer than black and it can be easily paired with just about any hue.
Here’s a great example of one of the color palettes in a outfit put together by J. Crew .
And on with the items..
Anything with draping or ruffles are my friend. I really like the draping detail on the front of this Lively Mist top available at Anthropologie. I would definitely pair this with a medium-dark wash, bootcut jean with a soft pink knit sweater. For a night out, a black tuxedo styled blazer would do just fine!
I am a big fan of anything that combines feminine & hard details, like this braided metal/mesh bracelet from Anthropologie.
My new obsession are necklaces finished off with a textured ribbon. J.Crew has always been my go-to store for necklaces of this nature. It’s charming when the ribbon’s bow peeks out of a blazer or sweater when the hair is pulled back.
These Seychelles Teardrop slingbacks from Urban Outfitters have been something I’ve been eyeing for quite some time now. They’ve just been restocked because of their popularity, which isn’t surprising as they’re just lovely. With all the craze of pairing colored shoes with wedding dresses, I’d love to see someone do that with these!
Until my next shopping episode (which might come sooner than I think)…
happy planning!

How super duper cute are these little things? Well, maybe you should keep out the “cute” part when showing them to your significant others. Instead, let them know that this is the one thing they can make their own :]

Oh how I’ve missed updating!
Toronto was amazing. It was my second time, but I truly enjoyed trekking around downtown this time even though it was tiring at times! The wedding I attended was beautiful – green and orange colors with butterfly details. The bride looked amazing, wearing a champagne colored silk gown with a lower back. I’m going to postpone posting any images of the wedding, in case the bride wants them private. Otherwise, here are some other shots from my trip!
Memorytube Kiosks Ltd is currently working on creating an interative touch screen kiosk that will surely be a fixture at weddings in our technology infused future. Guests can now take photos during the wedding and immediately download them onto a hard drive, all while still being at the reception venue. The photos and videos can then be downloaded and burned onto CDs for the bride/groom to enjoy. The kiosk also has a small camera that can record messages for the bride and groom, as well as add text based messages to the guestbook, which is then compiled into a DVD album following the event.
Talk about a time saver! No more gathering of disposable cameras and waiting for them to be developed at the store. Now you can choose what photos you want to have hard copies of.

Hellooooooo brides! This next tablescape is best described as chic and cosmopolitan. Maybe it’s just me, but when I look at this next tablescape, I think “Sex & the City”. This eye-catching tablescape and dessert table set is the last of a set of four inspiration shoots by Clockwork Wedding Productions shared here on Wedding Obsession. The pink, black & grey, paired with the damask is so modern and rich – I love it. The pink lace detailing on the seating cards and invites has to be one of my favorite details. I want to give a BIG thank you to Catherine & Karen for providing some new and innovative tablescapes for us modern brides. Be sure to check out their site to see what this dynamic duo are up to in the future!
We are two women who love bling! And it doesn’t get more bling than this. We call this table glitz and glam. This table was inspired by a short but sweet trip to our favorite place – Chintz. In their discount section we uncovered this grey and black velvet table runner. Next to it were a stack of grey chargers for just 2 dollars each and these fantastic mini lamp shades which we instantly knew we had to hang crystals from. Our inspiration was born! The only colour that would really make grey and black damask with a side of crystals pop – was hot pink! To give our crystal lamp shades the proper treatment we chose four different sized black picture frames – filled them with different hot pink, grey and black paper and used them to display our lamp shades on top of three glass candlesticks. We carried the black picture frame idea through out the design with the large black frame on the wall to anchor the table and with smaller black frames for the table place cards. We took the crystals up to the ceiling with three gorgeous chandeliers we picked up at Home Depot.
We were so in love with this table we just couldn’t stop. In fact the pink just reminded us a bit of cotton candy as kids so we whipped up a stunning candy table complete with chocolate covered candy apples – handmade pink popcorn boxes – silver jawbreakers – and lollypops galore. Yummy!

I´m in an internet cafe in Madrid and I know it´s sad, but even on my honeymoon, I felt like I had to check up on the site and give a quick update. My husband (feels weird to say it) was gracious enough to let me do that!
Barcelona was amazing although we didn´t get much sleep because the hotel beds were horrid! So beautiful and vibrant was the city. Coffee here is so strong haha. They call our coffee “dirty water” ..
Malta was also BEAUTIFUL. I was hoping for more from the blue lagoon in comino but with barely any beach, I was a bit disappointed. But there is so much history here and it was breath-taking to see things dated 2400 BC.
So now we´re in madrid and we are loving it. But it´s SO hot. It´s been about 34 degrees everyday and you have to stop into an air conditioned shop just to stop yourself from melting. Reminds me a lot of hong kong but without the humidity.
That is all for now and hopefully I can get back to blogging right when I get back. Thanks again to all those who have guest blogged during the time I was away – Smartbride Boutique and Clockwork Wedding Productions!
Happy Planning…and PS the wedding was great! I cannot wait to share the pictures with you when I get them.
It’s been a very busy busy week which explains my few posts. Other commitments…appointments…did I mention I’m getting engagement photos done Thursday and then meeting a DJ friday? Weddings really do take up a lot of time!
Anyways, last time I went wedding gown shopping I went with my bridesmaid Ashley and had an absolute blast. But, I was overwhelmed with large amount of gowns and was sort of bummed that I didn’t find ‘the one’. Well, last week I had the day off and decided to head back to one of the bridal shops..but this time alone to make sure I knew exactly what style I wanted.
And believe it or not, I may have found a contender! It was the first one I tried on by Maggie Sottero. The one at the shop had a chocolate brown sash with ivory lace over pearl rose. Not really my taste in color, but you get the idea. I think if I go with this gown, I will go with an ivory sash and ivory lace. Actually, I wanted to go without the sash because I remembered a well known wedding gown designer said it makes girls look shorter and unproportioned..but the sales associate thought I was tall enough so it wouldn’t be an issue.
Here it is on the model..
And of course I tried on the Anjolique gown again…
love it..but it may be too simple for my liking.
So am I indecisive? I think so!
I still have my heart set on a couple styles by Pronovias so I’m planning on visiting another store on my own before deciding which one…but either way I’m sure it will be a-ok =)
Loving the ‘Andrea’ invitation suite from sub-studio . It brings me back to the days when I’d lay on the grass watching the clouds roll by…

… pink + gold embroidered letters
So I promised to give a post about the favors but it’s going to have to wait until tomorrow or the day after. A friend of mine, Case and my lovely fiance finished the packaging, in addition to the programs etc…and I don’t have the time to create the post. We’re pooped! Not to mention, I have to work tomorrow.
So until then happy planning..although right now, I’m thinking – why the heck did I leave everything till the very end???
