Backyard Country Wedding in Ontario
We have an absolutely breathtaking rustic wedding captured by Jennifer van Son Photography to share with you today. Held on the bride’s parents acreage near Cobourg, Ontario, Chanelle and Brandon’s wedding is absolutely swoon-worthy. Even with the rain and wind, everything is picture perfect and no detail was left unplanned by the couple, including custom rustic doors flanking the ceremony and the large wood photo backdrop.
Says Jennifer (photographer): Chantelle & Brandon were married on a blustery day in early September on her parents acreage located near Cobourg, ON. Besides the rain and wind every detail was perfect. The ladies prepped for the day in Chantelle’s mom & dad’s house while the guys got ready at Brandon & Chantelle’s place a few miles away. They tried not to fret about the weather and really just enjoyed their time prepping with friends & family.
The ceremony was held in a beautiful field surrounded by rolling hills, wildflowers, and rambling ivy. Despite the chairs getting wet on more than one occasion they held fast to their plan of an outdoor ceremony. Vintage Grace Event Design worked tirelessly to ensure that the location looked perfect and took care of each detail with great care. The rain began promptly at 3pm as the processional began and continued for the rest of the day – but no matter to this group, they laughed & danced anyway.
After the I DO’s were done I travelled with the bridal party to an abandoned barn nearby for some great group shots. Then the bride & groom took me to some more secret locations along a country road. They were soaked but didn’t care – anything for great photos. With photos taken care of we returned to the residence for yard games, cocktails, and family photos before the reception.
Dinner & dancing were held in a gorgeous tent on the same property. Chantelle & Brandon’s details were exceptional and everything was covered: these included gorgeous buttercream cake, lavender & baby’s breath on the tables, personalized cd’s, a popcorn bar, lemonade stand, and a homemade dancefloor – to name a few. It was a truly beautiful day!
