More Trouble at Eaton Canyon
In what is unfortunately becoming something of a routine announcement, three more hikers found themselves stranded past the upper falls of Eaton Canyon over the weekend and had to be airlifted out.
Details are light on this right now, but apparently the group of three ascended with proper equipment and no incident on Saturday with the intention to rappel down the falls and hike out of Eaton Canyon. For currently unknown reasons the group couldn’t make it down on Saturday and family members initiated rescue efforts on Sunday.
The family members did not know where the group was hiking or even what trailhead they were parked at, but rescue crews were able to find all three hikers and airlift them to Huntington Memorial Hospital exhausted but uninjured.
