Weekly Wrap-Up + Infinite Films

Happy Friday and end of the (work) week! Wow, it’s been quite the ride. Wedding Obsession hit a record of visitors this month and one of our posts, a look at Vera Wang’s 2012 Fall Collection actually had just under 31,000 views in just 2 days. AMAZING. I guess you could say she created quite the stir with the use of black and camel in her wedding gowns. Go Vera.

In other news, I will be launching the gallery this Monday. Super excited to share it with you.

Before I sign off yet again for the weekend, I wanted to share something that came across my table that would be perfect for you Ottawa/Toronto/Ontario brides. Bridget from Infinite Films {by First Kiss Films} shared with me a new service/product that vintage brides and grooms will swoon over. Infinite Films are custom-made film loop installations that allow you to showcase your engagement photoshoot as a presentation at your reception venue. It makes it seem like you’re actually at a screening for a film. You can actually see the film loop through the custom-built looping system and apparently it purrs just like an old projector. I just love that.

Weekly Wrap-Up + Infinite Films

Here’s an example of one couple, Sophie & Ryan’s infinite film.

Says Bridget: Sophie & Ryan’s engagement film was filmed on a warm summer afternoon at a location that was extra meaningful to them: a park close to their outdoor wedding venue. The three of us along with Hubert and Finnigan, two dogs they rescued, spent a few hours hanging out and filming some really sweet moments.

This film has a gorgeous authentic texture that you can only get with real film because it was hand-processed as part of an Infinite Film creation. The look of this film along with all the little charming textural elements you’ll notice are all genuine and part of the handmade process – nothing was added digitally.

Here is their Infinite Film – note, turn your speakers down if you’re viewing this at work! As well, you might have to wait for it to load to see it in it’s entirety.

Happy weekend before Halloween!
