Save The Dates, Check!
Our save the date cards are finally ready to go. Finally!
I’ve had them for a few months but our guest list continued to grow and then I got totally sidetracked with work. (That seems to be a reoccurring theme in my posts here, doesn’t it?) Things are pretty well nailed down now and the wedding seems to be approaching faster than ever. It felt like high time I sat myself down and got around to addressing the envelopes.
I ordered ours custom from Papertalk Press . Owner-designer Michelle was extremely helpful in blending two designs ( this one , and this one ) that I loved and reinterpreting them with our colours.
Why am I sending save the dates exactly?
It might seem out of the ordinary (or even unheard of if you’re old-fashioned) because we’re not having a destination wedding. But save the dates are becoming increasingly popular for weddings of all shapes and sizes because they can double as an engagement announcement of sorts. Especially with the increasing popularity of ones styled with an engagement photo. Since our wedding date is right smack at the beginning of wedding season, we wanted to make sure our guests knew well in advance. We’ve also invited lots of out-of-town guests, so it will give them ample time to make arrangements for travel.
