Halloween Inspired Candy Bar

Happy Halloween to you all. So excited for this time of year! Claudette of Claudette Marie Events created this Halloween inspired candy bar filled with so many yummy goodies that have my tummy grumbling as I put together this post. I wanted to do a photo shoot to help launch my new company. Because of the time of year I though something Halloween themed was a good fit. I took my inspiration from Amy Atlas as I love her styling and fun themed dessert bars and candy tables. When it came to finding a location I thought of doing something outside and the first place I thought of was Fish Creek Park. The trees turn such a beautiful colour in the fall and I wanted to use them as a backdrop. I have tried to deny it but autumn is my favourite time of the year. Crunchy leave, chunky knit and amazing colours.

I didn’t want the shoot to look too ‘staged’ so I added some hand made elements to it. I created the ribbon backdrop myself whilst wrapping my dog up in yards of ribbon. I used typical fall/Halloween colour, yellow, orange, black and white. The way the ribbons looked like stripes gave me a great idea to make one of the dessert tables a feature by using a black and white striped linen. It worked perfectly and looked exactly how I envisioned.

The best part of planning the shoot was getting all the sweet treats and desserts! We had pies, macarons, meringues, doughnuts, and soo much candy! Again we tried to get candy that matched the Halloween colours and brought a touch of green in as an accent. Christy did a great job with the photos and is such an amazing woman! I feel like I will be eating the treats for a while!
