Urban Downtown Engagement
Oh how I love Fridays! What a better way to end the week than with a modern engagement set courtesy Katch Studios {with makeup done by the amazing Anita Gill } . Melissa & Will wanted an e-session that was a mix of a modern, retro style in an urban setting. So Katch Studios created a “New York” feel to the shoot in downtown Edmonton. Melissa’s actually a TV and radio personality in Edmonton, appearing on CTV Edmonton and as a DJ for 91.7 The Bounce !
I’m always a sucker for love stories, so I asked Melissa to share how she and Will met and how he proposed. This one was explosive…got your attention? Read on!
My fiance Will and I met way back in school and always stayed in touch. The last couple of years or so we grew more in love and were inseparable. Then in March, as we were in the process of building our new home, Will asked me to meet him at the property to check out the building process. At that point we had walls and windows and were so excited! As I was taking a tour of the house, Will appeared to become a bit nervous and jittery. He appeared to be taking his time inspecting the windows and wanted my help.
Although I thought it was a tad odd, I agreed and all of sudden, a large display of colourful fireworks go off outside our window. Completely shocked, wondering what was going on, I turn around and there he is, on one knee holding a delicate red box.
He opened the box and said those magical words so many ladies can’t wait to hear, “Will you marry me?” Needless to say I was overjoyed and blurted out “yes!” We were ecstatic! That night seemed like such a whirlwind and was a complete surprise to me! We celebrated by calling and visiting close family members to let them in on the good news.
How ridiculously good-looking is this couple?
Melissa & Will are planning their wedding for April 2011 in the Mayan Riviera with white and silver colors, with a touch of blue. It will be beautiful. Congrats xoxo.
