You guys are definitely in for a lot of treats this week. First off, is the Edmonton wedding of Erin & Brad sent over by my friends of Clockwork Wedding Productions . Those of you living in Edmonton, Alberta might recognize the bride, as Erin’s an anchor for CTV Edmonton . Catherine and Karen shared with me some details with the wedding which you’ll see below. I know you’ll love this because it’s a pretty one!

Says Catherine:

We were so honoured to be the wedding planners for Erin and Brad’s wedding.

Erin Isfeld may be the anchor of CTV’s nightly 6 o’clock newscast, but to me she is also a long time friend. Erin and I met many years ago as competitors. We were both weekend reporters for the city’s top newscasts – her for CTV and I for Global News. Our healthy competition made us fast friends. As an Edmonton wedding planner, when I heard Erin had met the man of her dreams and was getting married, I offered up our wedding planning services. No-longer competitors, we all put our heads together to make her ultimate wedding desires reality.

The wedding was held July 17th at Blue Meadows. The facility is owned by the Edmonton Police Service and is only available to Edmonton Police Service members and their families. As you can see by the groom’s blue dress uniform, Erin’s husband, Brad, is a hardworking member of the Edmonton Police force.

Erin and Brad’s ceremony was held on Blue Meadow’s beautifully treed grounds and the reception was held inside the fabulous two story lodge on the property.

When we first met with Erin and Brad to discuss their wedding, they already knew their theme. Erin said, “Lets bring the outdoors in.”

So that’s what we did!

We incorporated her favorite colours of purple and apple green with natural burlap. We DIY’d a monogrammed burlap aisle runner and hung beautiful apple green and purple kiss balls (thank you Studio Bloom!) from sturdy shepard’s hooks down an aisle lined with rose petals.

Erin wanted to keep the trees natural at the front of her aisle so we hung lovely lanterns in her colours to give them some pop of colour. They made for gorgeous photos.

Inside at the reception we brought the outside in through her centerpieces. We placed large manzanita tree branches in vases with burlap wraps, tucked green and purple hydrangeas around the trees and used hanging votives for a gorgeous glow when the lights went down.

The sexy kiss balls from the aisle were also incorporated on some of the tables along with round bowls of hydrangea. We can’t say enough about Rosella Mandau from Studio Bloom . Her work knocks us off our feet every time!

We also handmade all the paper for the event from place cards, menus and guest books. We tied handmade programs to bamboo fans for the guests to keep cool in the heat. With 200 guests I can tell you we cut, glued and tied ribbon for days!
