Pouring cold water over Germany’s summer markets

When it comes to German markets, the Christmas ones get all the glory. I’m as guilty as the next travel writer, spilling pixels on snowdrops and starlight, gluhwein and gingerbread, and the twinkling lights and twirling wooden tops that dance from market to nutcracker ballet scene to dream to screen.

And while I love the Christmas markets (and I do) and while Germany has some of the best ( it really does ) there’s a lesser known treat in store for you all: Germany’s summer markets, where once again Munich impresses.
