Replace your divot with an ice pile
If you thought fishing and skate and ski sports were the only things happening on the Presque Isle Bay ice this winter, think again.
Stick your clubs in your trunk and get in your cuts at the first J oe Roots Frostbite Open Feb. 20 in Presque Isle Bay.
Proceeds benefit the Presque Isle Partnership .
Foursomes will golf nine holes on the ice from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Entry fee is $200 per team or $65 for an individual, and entry is limited to the first 144 golfers. Participants get a Frostbite Open sweatshirt, dinner at Joe Roots and three logo balls.
Get a registration form and deliver it to Joe Roots Grill , 2826 W. Eighth St.
Weather date is Feb. 27. If it’s postponed more than twice, the event will be canceled and all proceeds donated to PIP.
