Real Wedding: Ron & Suzanne (Part I)
Theme: ivory, lilac and crystals
Description: classic, romantic, merry
Photographer: john mateos-ong
Reception: casa blanca, intramuros
I have the pleasure of sharing with you the wedding of Ron & Suzanne who envisioned a black & white wedding with a touch of ivory. We all know I am a sucker for black and white! Said best in her own words, Suzanne explains how she describes her wedding based on 3 words.
Romantic – We have chosen imported tube roses, calla lilies and hydrangeas for our flowers. Every photo shoot with John Mateos has ended up romantic. Whoever sees them fell in love with our shots.
Traditional and classic – That’s why we have chosen black suits for all men, and ivory gowns for the ladies (since I am wearing a pure white gown). We just had touches of lilac because we find it dainty and classic color. We also have chosen Intramuros for its classic look. Its Spanish era look helped a lot with our Victorian-inspired theme.
Merry – Our wedding was celebrated with lots of relatives and friends. With 250 guests, we made that afternoon quite memorable, but a very intimate one.
Suzanne wore a pure white chiffon gown with beading on the bodice and along train. She specifically chose the banded shoulder to emphasize her “hanger-like” collar bones.
A bouquet of white with a hint of lilac.
The wedding party – 9 pairs of bridesmaids & groomsmen, 12 pairs of godparents, 6 flower girls with escorts, 3 ring bearers and 3 pairs of secondary sponsors. The ladies wore ivory with touches of lilac and custom-made accessories, while the men wore black suits gifted by the bride & groom.
Part II will be shared tomorrow.
