Modern Cityscape Wedding
I have seen A LOT of weddings in these past three years. Once in a while I get a wedding that inspires me to get married again (don’t we all!) and totally knocks my socks off. The ceremony venue of today’s wedding is definitely stellar. Held on the Shelby Street Bridge in Nashville, Brittany & Kyle wanted a modern wedding with an urban flair. This wedding, captured by The Collection , will hopefully inspire you to think outside the box and realize that anything is possible. PS: ladies who have been asking for a wine-colored inspiration board – this one’s for you!
Before I went dress shopping we were intending on doing a more vintage style wedding but the dress changed dramatically and everything else kind of followed. When we were thinking about venues we wanted somewhere that most people don’t use and the bridge came to mind. We didn’t actually think that weddings were done up there, but a friend knew someone who did it and gave us the contact info. My husband and I live in Colorado but we are from Nashville and have always loved downtown. This was just the perfect location to show off Nashville. The bridge lent itself to modern décor and I just wanted the flowers to be unique and vibrant to contrast the grays and blacks of downtown. We were really happy with the way the décor came out. It was kind of quirky and different but still clean and modern.
Past Perfect is a staple of downtown and its quirky atmosphere and staff was another great fit for us. Our theme was EAT, DRINK, & BE MARRIED!
