MAPS Bird Banding June 13th and 21st at the Jamestown Audubon Society

All are welcome to join research ornithologists at the Jamestown Audubon Society, as they capture, band, and release the birds, recording the information for science. MAPS stands for Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship. The information the ornithologists collect will be used to learn more about the birds that are found in our area.

This event is free and reservations are not required. The location for this event is the Jamestown Audubon Society’s pavilion. The pavilion is located on the West side of the property. The West entrance gate will be unlocked, and on bird banding days, a sign will be placed at the road.

Events will be rescheduled for foul weather. Dress appropriately and bring your camera/binoculars.
