DIY Bunting Banner Table Numbers
My maid of honour and I got together one night, went to Dollarama, bought a bunch of supplies, got Thai take out, and spent the whole night crafting for my wedding. It was one of the funnest nights I’ve ever had! Find out how to make your own bunting banner table numbers below.
My materials include:
- Silver picture frames (bought from a friend, $30 for 15 frames)
- Printed little banner flags from The Pretty Blog
- Yarn ($1 from Dollarama)
- Printed Stencils
- Acrylic paint ($1 from Dollarama)
- Sponge applicators ($1 for a pack of 6 from Dollarama)
- Glue
First step was cutting out the stencils with an X-acto knife . This took patience and precision! Some paper tore, but that’s okay! Perfection is not the key here.
Then we used the sponge applicators to dab on purple paint on top of the stencil. It wasn’t perfect, but we convinced ourselves that this is a more “rustic vintage” look. We let these dry for about an hour.
I already pre-cut all my little paper flags while watching “Say Yes to the Dress” at home so they were good to go! We squeezed a line of glue in a gentle curve above the number and placed the purple yarn on the glue.
Next, we glued on all the little flags, four per table number, alternating between patterned and solid flags.
Let dry for another hour and plop them into the frames. Voila!
I am so psyched to see them next to my silver Ikea lanterns on our tables.
Did your DIY projects go well? Or were they disastrous? I hope my DIY luck will continue for my next project!
