Silver Winter Wedding Inspiration
Today’s photoshoot is really what started this winter week idea off. And it’s PRETTY…all kinds of pretty.
The color palette is shades of silver & charcoal paired with white. This muted colour scheme is just perfect for a winter wedding. Julianne of A Modern Proposal teamed up with ENV Photography (our newest sponsor) to create this steal-worthy look. If you’re anything like me, you’ll love the florals, done by our regular floral contributor, Akiko Floral Artistry . Talk about a triple threat. And can you guess what was the one decor piece that started the avalanche of ideas? The beautiful silver overlay from Elegant Touches . Is this a peek at the next ‘it’ linen? Don’t forget to see more images in our gallery .
J: Using a single color creates a cohesive look no matter the texture or substance, thus using the charcoal against the white while using so many other items that if in different colors, they would not have worked. It also creates a winter feel, which was much appropriate for the shoot.
J: The menus and table number, and favors were all DIY items. Since the shoot was so close to Christmas, poppers were readily available and made for some fun escort cards. Ikea sells the double sided frome for $0.99 and more people should use them. I personally dislike the tall silver stand with the standard number. These were so inexpensive and have much more class, especially with a low center piece. Menu cards were also a semi – diy as they were purchased off of etsy and had to be printed and cut.
