Elegant Peryn Park Estate Wedding in Ontario
After meeting at summer camp many years ago, Matt and Tess, both with a love for the outdoors, were inspired by nature when it came to their wedding. Held at the Peryn Park Estate at the Port Hope Golf & Country Club, the couple incorporated planted flowers as centerpieces and used birch logs as the backdrop for the head table. Says Jo-Anne of Haley Photography: Matt and Tess decided their colour theme to be navy blue, deep purple, green, gold and blush. Their colours are best described by Tess’s mother as “dusk”, when the sky is a dark navy blue but also has tones of purple, blush and golds as the sun is setting.
Says the bride: “It was such a different dress then I imagined I would ever wear being it was blush and a ball gown. But I felt so elegant, beautiful, and like me in it. Finally, looking back at the pictures, it had so much texture and special detail which really was perfect to photograph.”
“Me and My family worked very hard to do décor which would fill the space in the tent but also be personable to Matthew and I. I had spent all summer growing potted flowers which were the centre pieces on the table. We also had a local garden cantre allow us to use birch logs to make planters behind the head table. Finally, I loved how the tent looked with the strings of lights hanging and giving it a warm atmosphere.”
