Travel Movie Monday: A Moment of Connection with a Humpback Whale

So what really struck me about this video was how out of the ordinary it is. It’s definitely not your average travel video, and I’m not sure if everyone would even classify it as a travel video, but I think that the lessons learned and the story itself can be useful to nomads everywhere.

Lately I’ve been obsessed with timelapse videos, but after seeing this, which is probably put together using a lot less high-technology, I see that there is a lot you can do with video with a little imagination. The story itself, which is apparently based on true events, is beautiful, and animal lovers everywhere will definitely be touched. Set in the waters of San Francisco, California, Tess Martin uses mixed media to send an important message to all who watch, and one we can incorporate into our travels: Realize your good fortune, being able to witness so many unique things, as well as your capabilities, and make time to help the people and places around you.
