A Morning Paddle at Presque Isle

My brother, Andrew Lawrence of Cranesville, snapped a few photos of his morning paddle at Presque Isle recently. During his brisk adventure, he caught a glimpse of a few of the birds inhabiting the park. He was able to get a close look at a pair of bald eagles, several geese, and a few others.

“I try to visit the park as often as I can,” Andrew said. Last year, when the weather permitted, he would visit at least once a week. Andrew adds, “You never know what you might see at Presque Isle. There is just so much diversity. It’s exciting”.

Andrew brought along his fishing pole for the trip (just in case), but he said that he spent more time bird watching and photographing the natural scenes of Presque Isle than trying to catch fish. Here are some of the photos from his paddling trip.

This red-winged black bird is one of 300 species of bird that has been identified at Presque Isle.
