Tucked away in the Northeast corner of Washington, D.C. is St. Francis Hall , a little-known special venue.

St. Francis Hall

First, there is the gorgeous Hall, holding up to 250 guests, where you can host your ceremony and reception. Dance the night away atop gleaming hardwood floors underneath impossibly high ceilings – you’ll have plenty of room to dance, dine, and mingle since the room has a large stage just for the band. The hall is incredibly versatile: for a romantic, fun look, decorate the charming stone arches that line the edges of the room with lights, or hang lanterns from the ceilings for an exotic edge. The medieval chandeliers provide a unique touch, contributing to the space’s overall old-world appearance. Whether you host your event during the day or at night, you will love the venue’s extra-large windows, which will either flood the room with warm, natural light or ensure that your guests will always have a view of the glittering night sky.

The lawn, a preferred ceremony location, is lush and green, and people viewing photographs from your special day will swear you got married in a quaint European village.

Take photos outside in the private garden courtyard where flowers bloom along the old stone arches, walls, and pillars topped with red-bricked roofs. Take a peaceful, quiet moment with your new spouse on the lovely covered terrace overlooking the venue’s fishpond, or steal a kiss in the cool, shaded walkways along the lawn’s perimeter.

The rental fee is $4,000 and frequently includes the use of the venue’s gold ballroom chair – an outstanding deal.
