As a long time fan of bliss spa products, I was ecstatic when bliss opened at the W Hotel Washington D.C.  With its fun, ‘no-attitude’ atmosphere, bliss is the perfect place to relax before your wedding day!

From tension-relieving massages to pre-gown body shaping to honeymoon-preparatory bikini waxing, bliss can transform a nervous walk down the aisle into a walk in the park.

A few of my fav treatments include:

The famed massage, blissage75, which begins with a perfectly-warmed massage table where massage therapists will target your troubled muscles and loosen you up from head to toe.  The massage includes a warm wax foot-softening wrap that makes this body rubdown second-to-none. Who doesn’t need that to wash away any stress that planning might bring?

Next up, bliss spa’s Fatgirlslim body treatment is perfect for the bride that wants to make sure she feels svelte in her dress. Fatgirlslim detoxifies, stimulates circulation, and tones the body to whittle down those pesky love handles for brides with curve-hugging gowns. The treatment includes dry brushing, firming grapefruit essential oil, a trouble-spot-targeting seaweed mask and a heated wrap – I wish I could get this weekly!

After a slim down, picture-perfect skin is a must. Bliss offers an Elemis Exotic Lime and Ginger Salt Glow to give brides soft and glowing skin. The body polish reinvigorates the skin with Japanese Camellia oil drippings and top-to-bottom skin buffing with the Elemis lime oil. I can attest, that after this treatment, your skin will feel smoother than ever – I mean, EVER, EVER!

Then, for post-wedding preparation, bliss has fabulous technicians (including renowned waxing tech Shae Jackson), technique (using their signature stripless wax, which grabs the hair, not the skin) and training (every tech has undergone Bliss Brazilian Boot Camp) to prep you for beachside lounging with your new hubby.
