Dolce Studio Films

Dolce Studio Films , a local woman owned (yah!) videography company, is a new District Favorite .  With their hallmark unobtrusive coverage style, low or no lights, they will capture all the scripted moments of a wedding day and the sweetness of the unplanned moment.  In this way, your film documents your personalities and becomes a true documentary (telling the behind-the-scenes story in addition to the main story).

While they have a versatile price list, they also customize packages to meet any couple’s exact needs, so there’s flexibility in services.

In post-production, Dolce works closely with couples to ensure that the film they create is the film the bride and groom hope to see.  Every edited package provides a complimentary service where the couple can submit their input and ideas and the editors are happy to customize the film to suit the couple’s vision.

The montages are where the work can really shine, and Dolce loves to film from interesting angles or to speed footage up or to capture a setup with time lapse filming.  These small details make a difference – the shots take time to set up and capture and they’re over in a few seconds when you watch the film, but it’s what takes the film to the next level.  As a viewer, you should feel there’s an organic quality to the film, as though you are personally watching the events and not having them fed to you through the filmmaker’s lens.

Owner Haynal Papp tells us “Live footage is filmed with a strict approach: no crazy handheld camera work here!  We want our couples to feel that they’re in a cinema watching their memories replay, and not like they’re watching a Reality TV show or News Channel 7!  We don’t want the camera moving, bumps and shakes distracting from the “I Do’s”.  It’s controlled camera work, providing the viewer with the opportunity to connect emotionally with what’s going on in the film; again our presence should not be detected even while the couple is sitting on their sofa in their living room.  Unobtrusiveness is key!”

And, I love this idea — completed films are presented on DVD or Blu-Ray, but can also be uploaded to the web to share with friends and relatives abroad or across country.  Mini uploads are great for posting to Facebook or to send in an email as a Thank You to your guests and our core packages include complimentary uploads for this purpose! How fun!!
