Black & Gold Inspired Tablescape

Black and gold is pretty much a staple favourite of mine. For weddings it’s entirely glamorous and a notch up in the lux factor for a black-tie event. Min Choa of Infinity Luxury Linens & Décor used these colours as inspiration for the tablescape that graces the blog this morning. The scale of the centerpieces and the use of gold throughout makes for an opulent, yet chic look. Photography is by Modern Romance Weddings .

Says Min: Black and gold is a classic and timeless colour combination. For this style shoot, I wanted to create a table setting that is both unique and modern, fit for an elegant bride. My goal was to keep the floral design, desserts and stationary simple but classy. I used white to highlight our main colours of black and gold for a soft and elegant look.

For the table, I chose a gold table linen that has a very unique design with black napkins, gold charger plates, and gold glassware and flatware. I also brought in decorative accents such as a simply designed gold table number from Chapters and dahlia shaped gold candle holders from CB2 to complete the setting. By using gold on each piece complement the black centerpieces.

For florals, ‘Esu Floral’ created gorgeous arrangements with white orchids, white roses and white hydrangeas for a soft and feminine look using stylish black vases. For dessert, Chris from ‘Berliosca Cake Boutique’ created an elegant white cake adorn with white flower with a hint of black to match the cupcakes. To incorporate our theme, the cake was decorated with a delicate gold embellishment. I used a black floral lace linen for the cake table to draw all eyes to the gorgeous white cake.

For stationery, Jennifer from ‘Design By Dainty’ created a simple and modern table number, menus, place cards, and invitations, which complement the decor.
