Chic Art Gallery Wedding
Let me introduce you to Marlow and Jill! I am so honoured that I get to share this wedding with you. Sent over by Shandro Photo , this purple, platinum and yellow wedding was held at one of my favorite wedding venues the Art Gallery of Alberta. Read on to learn about their wedding inspiration and why I personally feel so proud to be Canadian.
The Art Gallery is such a gorgeous facility with much to attract the eye that we wanted to keep our decor simple and not attempt to compete with the gallery. Clean and simple is also a style that suits us. We liked the idea of a monogram from the start, but definitely drew some inspiration from your wedding since our initials are also J & M. Along the lines of clean and simple, we had personalized Converse shoes made in our wedding colours with “BRIDE” embroidered down the back that we changed into once we made it through the first few dances.
It was such a wonderful day full of love, and we were so happy to be surrounded by our wonderful family and friends. We are so thankful to live in Canada… a country where “you know…. you can marry whoever you love” (a direct quote from Jill’s cousin Isabel, 3 years old).
Like the “shoe game” (we all know what that is!), Marlow and Jill used mini hockey sticks instead. Jill played ringette and Marlow played hockey, both competitively. I love that they personalized it!
Congrats Jill & Marlow!
