Taylor Roades Photography shares a urban Leslieville session in Toronto. happy Wednesday!

We started their session in Leslieville, Toronto where Rebecca and Jordan live. The Leslieville neighbourhood in Toronto is a great up and coming area with tons of exposed brick, and murals. It lends itself perfectly for photos and I couldn’t think of a better place to start off their toronto engagement photography. I feel in love with this part of Toronto, I’ve been there a lot for work in the last month or so but it was great to have the time to walk around on foot and soak in city living on Sunday nights. From the small pubs and coffee shops to the back alleyways Leslieville is extremely photogenic and I’m so glad Jordan and Rebecca got me out there. From Leslieville we moved to the Don Valley Brickworks, and this place has more character than I every could have imagined. In my head I was expecting bricks, and a refurbished event venue which is great, but I was more than happy to incorporate a giant flower, a wooden waterfall, and killer light into these photos.

How did you and your fiance meet?

We met at work. We became friends, and after 10 months of friendship, flirting and laughing we started dating and were inseparable after our first date.

How did he or you propose?

We were on vacation in Germany last August when he proposed. I didn’t realize it at the time, but for the first of couple days he had been taking pictures of letters while we were touring around Berlin. We were in Dresden and watching the sunset over the old town, when he handed me our camera and said that we had some great pictures that I should look at. When I scrolled through the pictures, each picture was a letter, and it spelled out Marry Me.
