Planned in just two short months with the help of Bliss Wedding Design , Elsie & Mark wanted a very ‘Canadian-esque’ wedding to welcome their many overseas guests who flew in to see them tie the knot. This Saskatoon wedding captured by En Vogue Photography has a sweet pink & teal theme throughout and many lovely details that I know any reader would appreciate. Enjoy!

We (Bliss Wedding Design) planned Elsie & Mark’s wedding in just over two months as they are both busy University students with an 8 month old daughter…in fact the bride had a final exam the day after their wedding.
Almost their entire guest list flew in from China to attend their wedding. They wanted the feel to be very Canadian, which is why they chose the Red Barn at the Willows Golf & Country Club as the backdrop for their ceremony. Both their daughter Zoey and their dog, were included in the ceremony.
The groom’s one request was to get married in front of an arch covered in flowers. The bride wanted cute details in pale pink and blue, with a few rustic elements. A thumbprint balloon guest book, inspired by the movie Up, greeted guests at their reception. Photos of their daughter at different ages were the table numbers. Centerpieces of pink peonies and curly willow branches in mason jars adorned the guest tables. Their cake table was a focal point at their reception, with an eye-catching pinwheel backdrop and bunting in front.
A Chinese tradition is for the couple to have a drink with each table of guests, so in keeping with our colour scheme, the bride and groom had Baja Rosa shots with their guests. After visiting a few tables, the groom, who claimed he doesn’t dance, was ready to cut loose on the dance floor. We asked the dj to encourage guests to dance by teaching them a few more traditionally North American dances. While the chicken dance may be a novelty for most Canadians, this foreign crowd enjoyed every twist and cluck.
