Saturday’s Programs at Presque Isle State Park
Enjoy a hike in snowshoes, from 10am until 11:30am, on Saturday morning at Presque Isle State Park. Park Naturalists will lead the way on a short hike along the wooded trails. Equipment will be available to borrow or you can bring your own. Then, from 1pm until 3pm, there will be a special presentation about coyotes and foxes at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. A Park Naturalist will provide information on these animals inhabiting the park. Basic biology, history, and interesting facts will be presented. Brian Berchtold, Presque Isle’s Roving Ambassador, will share some of the photos and stories he has of these interesting creatures.
The Kids Crafty Corner at the Center will also be available from 10am until 6pm at the TREC. Kids can create crafts for free to take home. This program will continue, Saturdays, until March 28.
There is no fee but registration is required. Please call (814)-833-7424 for more information or to register for these programs.
