Chic & Modern Wedding in Calgary
I’m going to declare it now…this has been an absolutely AMAZING week for inspiration, don’t you think? I am always so thrilled to share the fabulous work of some of Canada’s best wedding vendors. We are honestly so lucky! Today’s wedding is a modern delight that is just full of detail. Planned by Sweet Stylings Event Design and captured by one of our featured vendors, TLAW photography , the decor is just stunning. I am a big fan of mixing tall and short centerpieces and can’t help but fall in love with the bundles of baby’s breath that decorate the tables. Enjoy!

Lisa and Dan first came to me looking for a planner to help them realize their dream of hosting a romantic, stylish wedding celebration in Calgary for their closest family and friends. Because of their close families and friends, they wanted their wedding to focus on a feeling of intimate gathering, celebrating Love by lavishing their closest family and friends with a ton of rich food, beautiful décor and fun. With its menu of upscale, traditional Italian food combined with classic architecture and modern décor, Teatro Ristorante was the perfect location for the stylish, intimate wedding that Lisa and Dan were craving. Lisa and Dan were a dream to work with as they knew exactly what they wanted and were quick decision makers. When I arranged their meeting with Terence Law of TLAW Photography, Lisa told me she liked Terence already as soon as he walked in the door! After a wonderful family photo session to include their young daughter, Lisa and Dan had absolute faith that their wedding photos would turn out amazingly. The touching ceremony took place in the evening with guests surrounded by candlelight for a romantic atmosphere. Lisa and Dan included personal vows as well as recognition moments for both of their mothers and their daughter. I won’t forget the way their daughter’s eyes instantly lit up as she was presented with her Swarovski crystal heart necklace. There were many pretty, personal details in this wedding. The stationery was designed and handcrafted by Lisa’s sister-in-law. Sarah Mayerson Design created stunning floral arrangements that were classic while also introducing bright pops of pink flowers in unique vases for the reception to reflect Lisa’s favourite colour and vibrant personality. The music was personally chosen by Lisa and Dan and represented special moments to them, which they shared with their guests throughout the evening.
