Walleye and Lake Trout Fishing in the Erie Area
Action is intense in the Erie area for both walleye and lake trout. These fish grow to trophy sizes in Lake Erie and anglers who fish these waters have a great chance at catching a wall hanger with each trip on the water. The walleye in the featured photo measured 30 inches. I caught the fish while casting from the Lake Erie shoreline this past week. Walleye as well as lake trout can be found closer to shore this time of the year. The lake trout in the photo below was caught by Aaron White, of Girard. He caught the big laker while fishing with Offshore Obsession Sportfishing. If you haven’t already been out on the lake, now is the time to get on the water for these big fish.
