Project 3: DIY Silhouette Cookie Favors
Project 3 of our DIY silhouette series from Tara Whittaker with some yummy silhouette cookie favours. (see part 1 and 2 , if you missed them)
To carry the silhouette theme a little further, I made silhouette favours, customized with the profiles of the bride and groom. Refer to the tutorial on creating a silhouette from earlier in the week. I used Martha Stewart’s Ideal Sugar Cookie recipe for these favours. To add contrast, I made the groom’s cookies chocolate by substituting ½ cup of flour for ½ cup of cocoa.
The card stock profile of Warren from the earlier tutorial was placed on the dough and cut out with a sharp knife.
Once cooled, the cookies were wrapped in cellophane bags from Creative Packaging in Calgary. Miniature silhouette labels were added with a simple gold tie.
The cookies are easy to make, cute and delicious!
