Hostel Review: The Adventure Brew B&B, La Paz, Bolivia

I don’t think I really need to explain why I chose to stay at The Adventure Brew B&B in La Paz, Bolivia . I mean, the name references thrills and beer. Luckily for backpackers , the accommodation lives up to the hype.

Atmosphere

This hostel is great for both luxury travelers and those who want the comforts of home. A rooftop bar and lounge will allow you to feel like you’re staying in an upscale hotel, while chill hang-out rooms give a laid-back feel. And, because it’s a B&B, you can get private rooms or dorms.

Location

Located within a 5-minute walk of the bus station, you’ll literally be able to get to anywhere you need to go. La Paz has many great day trips, so this is very important.  Moreover, it’s within walking distance of delicious restaurants, great nightlife and the fabulous Witches Market.

Socialize

This property is extremely social. Backpackers are always hanging out in the bars to sample the country’s best brews (Saya Microbrew!), and the group dinners that are hosted are also well frequented. Moreover, a TV room, multiple lounges, rooftop deck, terrace, and game area make it almost impossible not to make new friends.

Free Perks

Backpackers love free perks at hostels, and The Adventure Brew B&B has a lot of them. First there are free linens, luggage room, linens, book exchange, huge lockers, internet, and WiFi. Moreover, a delicious and complimentary pancake breakfast is given each morning. And for brew lovers, the property often gives free and discounted beers to guests.

Overall Impression

My favorite part about the accommodation was how amazingly convenient they made everything. You literally didn’t need to leave the property to have fun and get things done. Being able to use credit cards, an onsite money exchange, games, lounges, bars, a cafe, group meals, movies, medical facilities, laundry service isn’t easy to find all under one roof, especially in Bolivia. However, this property does it. And if you need a tours desk or want to relax in a rooftop hot tub, their hostel next door is free to use.
