Think that you need to hit the slopes to catch air? Apparently not. Freeskiing is a combination of freestyle skiing and snowboarding that incorporates terrain and tricks often found in skate parks. The clip below is taken from the film “ All.I.Can “, which aims to “compare the challenges of big mountain skiing to the challenges of global climate change”.

While the movie is shot across 6 continents, what you will see here is a segment that takes place in British Columbia , Canada . Watch as one of the most well-known freeskiers in the world, JP Auclair, skis full-speed down stairs, glides on and off rooftops, and performs turns and tricks on small town streets as if he were in the mountains.

The first two minutes kind of set the mood, as you hear the song Dance Yrself Clean by the LCD Soundsystem and see Auclair’s skis creating sparks against the bare pavement. After that, the action gets intense.
