Vancouver Wedding with Succulent and Scrabble Details
I’m really loving the organic/earthy feel of today’s wedding captured by Jamie Delaine Photography . Blame it on the gorgeous succulents which I’ve always been a sucker for. Held in simple clay pots and paired with scrabble detais spelling out the table numbers, I love how understated, yet charming the overall decor is. Peter & Christine met at church where they became friends for a few years before it turned into a 5+ year relationship. Enjoy!
What were your favourite wedding moments?
My favourite moment from the wedding was when I walked down the aisle and realized that as I got close Peter was wiping away tears! My second favourite was not really a moment but it was being surrounded by loved ones in our cozy reception room.
What was your overall inspiration for your wedding decor and colors?
At first it was hard to decide what we wanted our overall decor and theme to be because there were so many great ideas out there. Then we took a deep breath! and realized that we just wanted something simple, sweet and to share with our guests our love and appreciation for them in our lives. Once we picked our colours, light pink and grey, we focused on the garden theme. And everything then just started to come together.
Advice for future grooms and brides-to-be?
My advice would be to keep things simple! There is already a lot of small loose ends that come up through out the planning, so having a few key things you really want to have in the wedding is what helped me.
