Says the photographer: Patrick and Yolanda, who travelled all the way from Georgia to Yolanda’s hometown of Toronto for their engagement portraits! We had a bit of a city tour planned for their shoot to show Patrick around town. Thankfully Yolanda knew her way around on Toronto’s public transit system to help facilitate this, saving us from being true tourists, maps and all ;) Since these two are clearly a lot of fun, enjoy travelling and are up for adventure, we began their session at Toronto’s Royal Ontario Museum. The ROM’s modern architecture, known as The Crystal, made for a striking backdrop while their genuine excitement and chemistry caused them to stand out from the scene. From there we rode the subway and took a bus to the Mainland Ferry Docks at Queen’s Quay where we boarded a ferry to the Toronto Islands! Moments later we were exploring a very quiet and peaceful Ward’s Island in the rain. We found a forest of birch trees and tall grass, a deserted strip of beach, and one of the best views of Toronto’s skyline with the CN Tower one can find! We caught the ferry back to the mainland after dusk and enjoyed capturing some romantic photos on a streetcar as we made our way back.
