Upcoming Winter Trout Stockings scheduled for NWPA

Trout stocking is a great way to get outdoors and see how the fish arrive at their destinations. Helping to stock trout is a great way to get involved and participate in a PA Fish & Boat Commission operation. Angler interest and support goes a long way to ensure waters continue to be stocked with trout.

Brook Trout are scheduled to be stocked at Chapman Dam, in Warren County, on December 15th. Meet at the Chapman Lake Park Office at 10am to assist with the stocking of trout from the Corry State Fish Hatchery.

In Erie County, several waters are scheduled to receive their Winter Stockings on December 16th. The East and West Basin Ponds (located at Presque Isle State Park) will both be stocked with brown trout. The Upper Gravel Pit, near Fairview, will also be stocked with brown trout from the Corry State Fish Hatchery. Meet at the Niagara Boat Launch Parking Lot at 10am. Lake Pleasant will also be stocked with trout on December 16th. Please meet at Lake Pleasant at 9:30am. Lake Pleasant will be stocked with rainbow trout.

Two Mile Run Reservoir, also known as Justus Lake, is scheduled to be stocked with rainbow trout from the Corry State Fish Hatchery on December 17th. Two Mile Run Reservoir is located in Venango County. Meet at the Two Mile County Park Launch at 10:30am to participate in this event.
