10th Annual United Way Bass Classic scheduled for July 25th
The United Way of Crawford County will hold it’s 10th Annual Bass Classic on July 25th at Conneaut Lake. The event is presented by Channellock Inc. in association with Bassmasters of Crawford County. Last year’s tournament had 60 participants with both amateurs and professionals. Event organizers will match one professional with one amateur to create the two-man teams. The Pro anglers will provide boats and equipment. Amateur anglers only need to bring a PA Fishing license to participate. Teams will launch from the Iroquois Boating and Fishing Club dock at 7am. Weigh in will be at 1pm at the Iroquois Club’s lawn. Lunch will follow for sponsors,participants, and volunteers. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top 5 teams in the event. All proceeds from the event will benefit the United Way of Crawford County. The Bass Classic has raised over $140,000 over the span of nine years for the United Way’s over 19 partner agencies.
