What products and services do you offer?
We are a fully custom shop that offers a wide variety of paper goods – from Save the Dates and formal invitations to menus, escort cards, programs, wine labels, thank you cards and much, much more. We are always expanding and pushing our portfolio to its limits, fulfilling the requests of brides looking for something new and innovative. We can even take an already existing paper good product and turn it into a truly customized work of art.
If you can dream it up, we can do it! We also provide design work for other pieces such as, aisle runners, banners, napkins and anything paper or linen.
How far in advance should couples begin planning and working with you on their stationery?
Our recommendation is to contact your stationery shop as soon as all the big details like the venue location, date and the style of the wedding are nailed down. That way you have a clearer understanding of your timeline. Another safe route
is to start designing about 4-5 months ahead of time. That provides enough time to customize, finalize and produce.
What is your most unique project that you have worked on for a bride?
We once had a bride who asked for laser cut invitations and, at the time, laser cut was a cutting edge (excuse the pun) technique in the world of wedding invitations. So we really had no clue how to even begin to provide that. With a bit of research, we were able to determine just what machines and processes were needed to get her exactly what she wanted. Today, the current trend in wedding paper goods is laser cut invitations! This trend is exploding for 2014 weddings.
How can an invite set the tone for a wedding? What techniques do you use to relate stationery to a couple’s style?
It’s been said over and over that the invitation is like the stage being set for your grand event and it really is true! I always try to tell our brides that although many people look at invitations as just paper, it really is so much more. Brides are doing all of the planning and tedious leg work and number crunching months and months before the big day. The guests receive and hold on to the invitation to this fantastic event for weeks, sometimes months ahead of time. You want all that hard work you’re doing to be conveyed to your guests so they know what type of event they will be attending.
If it’s a glamouroous affair, go glam with your invitation. If it’s simple and light-hearted, go with simple and clean! But no matter what the style, make sure the invitation stays true to you as a couple.
