Red Rocks Fitness
I was invited to join a friend this coming Saturday morning at Red Rocks to participate in the Red Rocks Fitness group that works out there a few times every week. I had heard about the voluntary bootcamp that occurs there, and had even been curious about it, so I am definitely anxious to go. After all, you can’t really ask for a more beautiful workout environment, right?! However, after checking out the website, my anxiousness has derailed and spiralled into pure terror! Holy shit, look at the routine list! I just ran a half marathon last weekend and I am damn sure that this 2.5 hour workout is gonna be the single most excruciating experience of my adult life (thus far anyway!)And no, I am not joking.
Pain and toture aside, I am very excited and curious to give it a try. The race last weekend was the first time in quite awhile that I woke up sore the next morning, and even that was only one day. I remember long dance practices back in high school (thank you Joie!) that would leave me in agony for the entire week of school. From what I read on the community forum boards for RRF, I will be lucky if I can even make it through half the workout!
And on that note: I was looking through their community forum and one of the members posted this video of this insanely crazy-strong guy. Seriously watch that video. I think this guy is eating his Wheaties AND doing P90X like ten times each day. My favorite part is minute 3.04. Still picking my jaw up off the ground.
