Christmas Craziness
You know what is really weird? Everytime the holiday season rolls around, I feel like life goes absolutely crazy for everyone. People start going nuts at the mall, doing stupid things, walking around on edge, and in general, not being very nice. What happened to a little holiday spirit?!?!
Had my last day of work two days ago, and let me say that it is very nice to not have to go in anymore for three months! Worthless, I know, but I love it! I am finally getting a chance to catch up on all those littlet hings that you postpone when you don’t have the time…..like laundry!
My mom and I went around and delivered food baskets yesterday for some elderly people in Denver. Definitely an interesting experience! Most of them were just old and unable to get out of their homes, so they were super excited to have visitors, but one guy was just wasted! He reeked of alcohol so bad, and we realized his wife was just as bad, if not worse. Yikes!
Still playing soccer, and yes, our team is just as bad as we were last time I wrote. I’m pretty sure we will never win a game, but we have scored in the past two, so that’s a start. Meg got kicked out of the last game for “obstruction” which was awesome. Not really cause it left us a man down, but it was wicked funny and I enjoyed it! The only unfortunate part is that my teammates have decided that I am their “Energizer Bunny,” meaning I’m their runner….so when in doubt, they just make me run all over. Fine, if I’m feeling up to it, but Lord help me, I am out of shape! I’m thinking of trying to do a few triathlons in the spring, so I started training for those too…I’m a weakling!!
Other than that, nothing new….still having the same dreams about the same person ALL THE TIME, still playing with my puppy, and still looking for to our trip in a few weeks!
