Halloween weekend

So, the weekend came and went with a bang, and I am pretty sure that I didn’t sleep a whole lot, or at least, nowhere nearly enough!

A friend of a friend rented out the Sky Bar in Denver on Friday for a big costume party, so me and the girls got together and went down there for the night. Angel and I met up with Megan and John and those guys to help celebrate John’s upcoming birthday, and I had thought we were going to the haunted house at Elitch’s. (yes, I was willing to brave yet another one) Turns out, the boys wanted to go to actual Elitch’s to ride some rides, and it was a good time. No one was there because it is so late in the season so there were no lines, and I haven’t been there in a few years, so I loved it. I got to ride the swings and this shake rattle thing, and the best, Mr Twister, my favoritest roller coaster ever! Totally fun.

After the rides, Angel and I went back to the hotel we had rented for the night and got ready–she as a flapper and me as a weird devil/angel combo. I was just excited cause I got to wear wings!

Yesterday rolled around, and although I was still in recovery from Friday, I had promised Meg and Whit and Aaron and Nathan that I would make my way to Boulder for some more Halloween celebration, so I sucked it up and got ready–this time as a flapper with a bright red boa! (There was no way I was wearing my red heels again from the devil costume–my feet still hurt!!) Lots of people were out, and it was nice to see everyone. I even got to see a few people that I hadn’t seen since high school, so it was kinda like a reunion weekend.

So, the good news is that it looks like I am going to Thailand in January! My parents are taking their annual vacation to Thailand/Cambodia, and I think I am going to tag along for a few weeks. I wish I could go for the entire trip, but unfortunately, I have to be responsible and come back and get a job–not to mention an apartment. Bleh. Either way, I am super excited because the scuba diving is supposed to be amazing, and it is going to be whale shark season, so I really am pumped to see one! Hooray! It will be weird, going on the dive boats by myself with no partner anymore, but what can you do, I guess. At least I get to go!
