Life is always complicated
Don’t they say that good things and bad things come in threes? I kinda feel like that is how it has been here lately. I have been doing a lot of thinking about myself lately, and although I’m not sure what I have been able to come up with, it has been–at the very least–eye opening.
Went down to Denver last night with Meg, my sister, and her boyfriend, Bennett. We hung out at a friend’s house for awhile, and then Whit and her boyfriend showed up and we all went to the Sports Column to meet up with Chris and John and Grant and those guys. Chris and Grant had flown in for the CU/CSU game, and I hadn’t seen Chris in like a year or two, so it was a lot of fun….until the end of the night. We were walking back to John and Ben’s house after the bars closed, and Chris and John were stumbling around like the drunken idiots they are when John accidentally bumped into a guy walking down the street. The guy automatically assumed that John was trying to fight him and turned around and nailed him in the face, splitting open his eyebrow in the process. There was a paramedic across the street, and he thought John needed stitches, so we loaded him into the ambulance and away the poor guy went. Meg and I dropped the others off at the house and then went to Denver General to get John. What a mess!!! There were bloody people sitting all over the waiting room, and some guy sitting next to us had even been stabbed and had blood all over his clothes. The doctor ended up telling John that it would be two hours before they could take care of him, so we took him to the University of Colorado hospital where they dealt with him. Unfortunately, they did it reaaaaaaaaaaalllllllllly sloooooooooooooooow, and we didn’t get back to the boys’ house until 5 this morning….definitely been a long day, and I am ready for bed!!!!
