Pink & Soft Grey Cameo Wedding in Toronto
You know the one shot where the bride and groom leave the reception surrounded by family and friends and the glow of sparklers? There’s just numerous moments like these that were captured by Avenue Photo . Held at the beautiful Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto, Christin & Rob had a soft grey and pink cameo themed wedding that will make your heart swoon.
My fiancé and I met in our final year at the University of Guelph through a mutual friend who would later become the best man at our wedding. After graduating university, we both decided to teach English overseas. Although we set off on our trip as friends, we returned a year later, in love. Upon returning home and living together for a few years in Toronto, Rob proposed during a surprise trip to the Mayan Riviera.
After a visit to Graydon Hall Manor we decided that there could be no other venue for us to use on our special day. We wanted an outdoor summer wedding ceremony. The gardens, with the Manor as a backdrop was the perfect setting for us to say our vows. Luckily for us, the weather was beautiful.
We had a soft grey and pink cameo theme for the wedding. Vintage baroque and cameo elements were included in the stationary and on the cake. The interior décor had a touch of classic romance, captured with arrangements of light pink peonies and roses. Soft candlelight and the existing chandeliers throughout the venue added to ambiance. The men donned classic black tuxedos and unique boutonnières. The bridesmaids looked elegant in pearls and floor length light grey luxe chiffon gowns.
After dinner, guests let their hair down and danced to our favourite band, Groove Marmalade. The maid of honour and best man’s swing dancing and the Groom’s impromptu dance moves got the party started and kept it going until the wee hours of the morning. The evening ended with sparklers and a champagne send off as we departed for our honeymoon in a vintage Rolls Royce.
From Avenue Photo: Christin + Rob fell in love across the world, all the way in South Korea, not only did they come home with great stories of their travels, they came back to Canada head over heels in love!
Christin and Rob paid so much attention to all of the details of their wedding, everything had a meaning behind it, and was meticulously planned, but don’t get me wrong, these two, their friends and family know when to let their hair down and party…this wedding had the most lively crowd on the dance floor…unbelievable, from the bride and groom [Rob, you have the most awesome MJ moves!], the maid of honour and best man [swing-sational!] all the way to Christin’s Nana, who is not only one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met, but to who at 90 years old had a mile long list of who she was going to dance with [she was the first one on the dance floor]. Weddings, not even weddings, but the people I meet along the way make me thank my lucky stars that I get to do this…capture true happiness, it makes my heart smile.
