David’s Bridal arrives in Langley, BC and blesses me with bridesmaid dresses!
What happens when I receive an email about David’s Bridal opening in my lovely province of BC? I posted this on my maid of honour’s Facebook wall…in all caps:
“I GOT AN EMAIL THAT DAVID’S BRIDAL IS OPENING IN LANGLEY ON NOVEMBER 30! I AM TOO EXCITED TO TYPE NORMALLY. OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!”
Even though I had already bought my wedding dress, I’ve always wanted to try on White by Vera Wang dresses. My future sister-in-law is also in town for Christmas, so we decided to take a trip to Langley to shop for bridesmaids dresses.
Our consultant was Coral and she was super friendly and helpful. The store itself is not that big, but there was lots of selection at reasonable prices. I did try on two wedding dresses in the White by Vera Wang line, but it only made me love my dress more. I guess that’s how I know I’ve found “the one”!
For the bridesmaids dresses, I told our consultant no shiny satin, and they should be flowy and lavender/purple. I love the idea of different dresses for different bridesmaids, especially since my sister doesn’t live in the country and will likely have to buy a dress in Hong Kong.
We decided on these two styles:
My future sister in law will wear the first dress in “Plum” and my maid of honour will wear the second dress in “Wisteria”.
I’m so happy we found dresses that the girls liked and will hopefully wear again, at a really reasonable price. The first dress is $120 and the second is $160.

One thing was that they only had the bridesmaids dresses from sizes 2-26, but my maid of honour is smaller than a size 2! We’re going to have it altered and taken in.
Overall, I would recommend any bride who has been dying to visit a David’s Bridal to make the trip out to Langley. It’s worth it.
