Soft Pink & Grey Wedding in Vancouver
Inspired by her bouquet and her love of pink, Sunita chose a muted palette of soft pink & grey to achieve her classic, romantic wedding that would be timeless. Marrying the love of her life, David, these two met at his 30th birthday in Seattle. Sunita bumped into some mutual friends of theirs who were there celebrating his birthday and she says “I never lets him forget and like to think that I was the best birthday present he has ever and will ever get!“. What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
There was so many moments to choose from, from walking down the aisle and seeing the ear-to-ear smile on Dave’s face to right before entering the reception and being able to be alone with Dave for even just a moment to debrief about our day. We were waiting until our same day edit finished to enter our reception and were peaking through the doors of Terminal City to see the video. We both were pretty teary and couldn’t believe all that we had planned was finally coming to fruition.
What was your inspiration behind your overall wedding decor and colour choices?
I’m a fairly girly girl and like every girly girl pink is naturally one of my favorite colors. I knew I always wanted pink but wanted a very subdued shade of it and wanted to offset the color with something a little less girly and really romantic like grey. I ended up using alot more of gray with pops of pink throughout the decor to keep the look romantic. I must say that I had found a really amazing bouquet of flowers that inspired everything for my vision. I wanted a simple, organic and natural look. My florist really helped and encouraged us alongside making our vision real. What she did with our wedding arch was as romantic as it gets!
Do you have any advice for other brides/grooms-to-be?
Enjoy every last minute of it and make it everything you’ve ever dreamed of. More importantly make it a reflection of you and your husband-to-be. It’s really too easy to get caught up in the chaos of it all. Make sure to lean on eachother during this time instead of stress! And last but definitely not least, enjoy your first dance as a married couple. You’ll never get that back.
