Today’s wedding is just about every rustic loving bride’s dream. A long wood table for 22 guests, held in a gorgeous barn on the family farm and filled with lovely DIY details and vintage furniture. The wedding was definitely a labour of love, as the bride’s mother took care of all the decor and coordination, even hand painting all 22 chairs for the outdoor wedding ceremony. Laura and Ryan are, as photographer Christine Picheca puts it “those couples you can’t help but fall in love with. They are so sweet, genuine and down to earth. When you are with them, you can see how much they love each other.” Congratulations to the high school sweethearts.

Any favourite wedding moments?
One of the most memorable and favourite moments of the day was during our ceremony. The officiant asked “who presents the rings” and the look on my sister’s face was hilarious. She had forgot to grab them and had to run into the house during the ceremony. There were lots of laughs.

What was the inspiration behind your wedding decor?
Our inspiration was my parent’s barn. It was rustic and natural and so we just wanted to keep going in that direction.

Any advice for future brides/grooms-to-be?
Our advice would be to just appreciate the day and to be realistic about what you can control and cannot control.
