Modern Fushia & Charcoal Wedding at White Oaks Resort
I’ve got a fresh, modern real wedding to share with you today, captured by Andrew Mark Photography . Richard and Madison wanted to pair charcoal (my absolute favorite!) and fushia which made for an absolutely pop-worthy color palette. I can already guess you’ll all swoon over her Swarovski encrusted heels. Enjoy!
How did you and Richard meet?
Richard and I met on eHarmony Oct 24th 2008, our first date was Nov.2. Richard took my on the most amazing date every, Shopping at Summer Set mall in Utica and a romantic dinner at Brio – where we chose each other’s dinner and talked for hours like we had known each other our whole lives. Truly magical….and we have been together ever since.
What was your favorite moment from your wedding day?
My favourite moment was the look on Richards face when he watched me walk down the aisle, and my parents tears of joy as they both participated in giving away my hand in marriage….AND our exit out of the church as Mr. & Mrs. Twose plus our dog Princeton. I had dreamt of this moment my whole life…our guest lined the walk way outside the church doors, ready with their bubbles, as the church bells start to chime and the doors flew open, we were faced with the most amazing sight, a tunnel of smiling, loving faces, with bubbles every celebrating our marriage, it was a dream.
What was your inspiration behind your overall wedding decor and colour choices?
My overall vision for my wedding was to create a dream, keeping the theme modern, classic, and elegant, with a little edge. Dark charcoal being the new black, helped frame the white décor & highlighted the pink accents. The atmosphere was set by lots of candles and mood lighting, and you can’t forget the gorgeous lounge that people enjoyed all night when they took a break from dancing.
Do you have any advice for other brides/grooms-to-be?
Stay calm and carry on…I was told this a lot by my girls, and it kind of worked. Be organized with your details, as this will help minimize stress of the day. Create a handout for family and bridal party with important dates, events, and times you need them. Create a list of photos “MUST HAVES” and give it to your photographer, this will ensure you don’t miss out on special moments or people.
