Real Wedding: Melonie & Ryan
Happy Monday everyone! To get back into the ‘groove’ of things, I’m sharing with you snippets of the wedding of Melonie & Ryan held at the Radisson Hotel in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The charming images are provided by Carey Nash Photography . Carey is such a great person, I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple weeks ago and he truly has a passion for what he does. And as Carey described, Melonie & Ryan have so much fun together and not surprisingly, when I asked Melonie what three words best describe her wedding, she replied “lighthearted, relaxing and incredibly fun!!!” The couple met 6 years ago at the University of New Brunswick when Ryan’s best friend introduced them and they’ve been together ever since.
Here’s what Melonie has to say about her dress:
I ended up choosing a dress very different than i had imagined. I loved the strapless sweetheart bust but the best part was the long bodice that gathered at the side. I loved that the dress didn’t hide but accentuated my curves and fit me perfectly!
Check out the clutches that the brides carried, instead of the traditional bouquet. Melonie ordered the clutches from BeeGee Bags , a retailer that specializes in handmade clutches. Each clutch was a slightly unique and added just enough splashes of red to the bridesmaids’ outfits. I love that idea!
We went went Navy and soft yellow with splashes of Red. I wanted an elegant but whimsical feel. We used lots of white lights and candlelight. We had a martini glass tower with a fountain of wine for the appetizer table and a SPCA donation table on behalf of our pets. we also had a cupcake cake (tower) it was so tall!
Congrats Melonie & Ryan. Keep laughing. xoxo. Thanks Carey, again, for sharing and for your hospitality the last time I saw you!
