Pink Romantic Wedding in Montreal

We’ve got a glam Montreal wedding for you today. When asked to describe their wedding in one word, today’s couple – Christina & Jarred – immediately think of “bling”! As Christina said “Every girl likes a little sparkle, I’m lucky my husband let me bring it into every aspect of our day :)”. It’s definitely filled with sparkly details from the framed table numbers, drapes and centerpieces. The wedding was a combination of Italian and Jewish traditions.

From getting married under a chuppah with a priest and a rabbi to dancing the hora and tarantella it was honestly a dream come true. People always say they want to marry their best friend, I literally did. The boy of my dreams became my husband. Our main concern when planning the wedding was making sure it was romantic and full of emotion. Not many people are able to bring together two different faiths and two different traditions, but we respected one another enough to make it into the wedding of our dreams.

I met my husband working at day camp 9 years ago. He was the older councilor and I thought he was so cute from the beginning. On our first date he took me for dairy queen near the water and 8 years later he proposed in the very same spot. Throughout our entire relationship we have shared so many memories together, marrying him on May 20th, was by far the happiest day of my life.

I had always imagined my bridesmaids to wear navy dresses. I find the combination of navy and white makes for such an elegant look. I was torn between doing all white flowers or adding a burst of color. Since I was have a spring wedding I decided to go with the burst of color option. I decided to make my wedding colors dusty pink, fushia and white. I found the colors popped against the navy and I tied in the color combination by having my maid of honor stand out by wearing a bright dusty pink gown.
I used crystals, multiple candles and white drapes with pink lighting in the reception room to add a romantic vibe to the overall wedding.

My favorite moment from the wedding was definitely being lifted into the air on a table during the traditional Jewish hora. Even though it wasn’t my tradition, it became my favorite part of the entire wedding and made for amazing pictures and was a blast!!! We felt like we were on broadway being thrown up in the air while 350 people dances around us!!

My advice for every bride and groom would be during the wedding planning be open to each others likes and dislikes. If you compromise the entire time and really choose your battles you will walk into your wedding and feel like it represents both of you. For the day of the wedding, keep reminding yourself this day is yours! Sometimes I would look at Jarred and just be in awe that this was actually OUR wedding. I found by doing this we were really able to absorb the entire day!!!
