Modern Calligraphy Inspired Photoshoot
I’ve always been in love with the art of calligraphy. So I can’t help but get a bit giddy when I see it used in such unique ways in today’s photoshoot sent over to us by Sharp Fluff Photography . Stephanie teamed up with some uber talented vendors to create a tablescape filled with black, white & orange and warmed up with a rich gold accents. Enjoy and happy weekend.
Says Stephanie: I decided to design a shoot based on my love of calligraphy and beautiful scriptive fonts. I’ve always loved how they can add elegance and romance to an ordinary piece of paper and to an event. I enlisted the help of a few talented individuals to help bring this vision to life. We shot this at the stunning Graydon Hall Manor which was built in the 1930s – back in the 1930s the manor entertained famous guests such as Katharine Hepburn, Vivian Leigh, and Mary Pickford! I hope I can share this photo shoot with brides to inspire them to create personal elements that reflect their interests and passions.
At the center of our table design is a table runner hand-written by calligrapher Barbara Kua. Couples could personalize their own runners with details like their name, table number and favourite quotes. Barbara also penned the cupcake liners. The accompanying florals and table elements were designed by Opulence Florals. Opulence Floral put together unique centerpieces, the bridal bouquet and boutonniere that went with our theme.
The letterpress wedding invite came from Sweet Peony Press, I love how the scriptive font is the center and sole element of design in this invitation. Other table elements such as the table number sign and name cards came from Shine Wedding Invitation.
On our model Sona is wearing a lovely flowing Lea-Ann Belter gown, our fashion stylist Kristy Skelton paired it with a jeweled sash from Lea-Ann Belter, hair accessory and earrings from Karolina Keeler and MyEpiphanyCo.
In the bride’s bouquet, we incorporated a personalized calligraphy ribbon from Paper Finger.
Fabulous Cake created a beautiful cake for us based on the invitation as inspiration; while Nadia & Co made the incredible cupcakes, tarts, and all the other treats (I can personally vouch that they tasted as good as they looked).
