Couture for the Cure

I realize it’s almost the end of October, but it’s really important that I tell you that this month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer has unfortunately affected individuals of my family and I’m sure all of you know someone who has been affected by it as well. One of the admirable events going on right now is the Fashion with Compassion™ and Vote Couture for the Cure™ at Cashmere.ca. Canadians are invited to vote for their favorite bathroom tissue couture photo. With every vote, Cashmere will donate $1 for every vote to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, with a $5,000 donation to be made in the name of the winning designer.

You still have time to vote! Head over to the White Cashmere Collection Facebook page to vote now.

Here’s some photos of some of the toilet paper gowns in display at The Bay on Yonge Street (Toronto) and Blvd. de Maisonneuve (in Montréal)…

Oh and I must also share a award winning photographic story that my friend Natalie sent over to me earlier this month. Click here to see it. It’s absolutely heartbreaking but so eye-opening. It really brings to light what weddings should be about…love.
